Hello, I’m Shelly Becker
I’m a visual artist living in Cleveland, Ohio. My life has carried me to the peaks of joy and into the valleys of darkness. Through art, I process love, grief, pain, and joy. It is the path that leads me toward peace. I share my art not because it has won awards, but because it is real. It is authentic. By opening my story, I offer truth. I encourage children to see art as a safe outlet for their emotions and to know that any medium counts. At its heart, my work is about making the world a more colorful and beautiful place.
My work is available at the Cleveland Public Library, on display in an exhibit called “Plot Twist” until January 2026.
“Easy yes” means choosing a path in life that leads to peace.
Art is my easy yes.

1- goal to create, connect & make the world beautiful
“Vulnerability offers truth, truth builds trust, trust creates community and community is what we need.”
— Shelly
Plot Twist features a collection of my original paintings. Each piece is handmade and explores emotion through color, texture and technique. Sharing the work at the library makes it accessible to everyone, offering a simple way to experience art as part of daily life. On display until January 2026.

Support Art That Serves
Art belongs where people gather to learn and grow. By sharing it in the library, children see that their creativity matters, literacy and imagination meet, and the whole community is invited to connect. Your support helps keep art accessible in this shared space, where it can encourage discovery and belonging for everyone.
